As part of the Livingston Celebrates America’s 250th event, the Town of Livingston is inviting local home bakers to compete in our As American As Apple Pie Contest!

Whether your secret recipe has been passed down for generations or you’ve perfected your own homemade classic, we’d love to see what you can bake.

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Event Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

🥧 Contest Rules

The contest is open to amateur bakers from the local area.

Entries must meet the following requirements:

  • Pies must be homemade and baked from scratch, including the crust.
  • Submit pies in an 8”–10” disposable pie pan.
  • Single crust, double crust, lattice, or crumb toppings are permitted.
  • Include a copy of your pie and crust recipe with your entry.
  • The filling must contain at least 60% apples.
  • Please do not submit pies requiring refrigeration.

📦 Pie Drop-Off

Contest entries must be dropped off at the Livingston Recreation Park Hall between:

9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Each pie will be assigned a number so judges will not know the identity of the baker.

🏆 Awards

The winning pie will be announced during the community celebration at 2:00 PM.

The winner will receive:

  • A commemorative America 250 Glass Pie Dish
  • Town-wide bragging rights!
